The Dow Jones Islamic Market International Titans 100 ETF is based on an index, maintained by Dow Jones, that is based on a stringent and published methodology and consists solely of common stocks that meet Islamic principles. Certain businesses are incompatible with Shari'ah laws, and stocks of companies whose primary businesses are in these areas are excluded from the Index. Financial ratio filters are also applied to exclude companies with unacceptable levels of debts or interest income.
