This fund is based on the KLD Select Social Index (SSI) (KLDSSI). You cannot buy shares in the index directly.

The KLD Select Social Index (SSI) is constructed to maximize exposure to positive social and environmental factors while exhibiting risk and return characteristics similar to those of the Russell 1000 Index. The Index is sector-diversified, holding companies with the highest social and environmental scores from each sector. To adhere to a large capitalization style, the eligible universe is limited to companies in the Russell 1000 and S&P 500 Index. Tobacco companies are not eligible.
