The First Trust ISE Global Platinum Index ETF seeks investment results generally corresponding to the price + yield performance of the ISE Global Platinum Index, which is designed to provide a benchmark for investors interested in tracking public companies that are active in platinum group metals mining based on revenue analysis of those companies. PGMs include platinum, palladium, osmium, iridium, ruthenium and rhodium. Components of the index must be actively engaged in some aspect of PGM mining such as mining, refining or exploration.
