The ProShares UltraPro Short Dow 30 ETF seeks daily investment results corresponding to 300% (triple) of the inverse of the daily performance of the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index. This ETF seeks a return of -300% of the return of an index for a single day. Due to the compounding of daily returns, the fund's returns over periods other than one day will likely differ in amount and possibly in direction from the target return for the same period.
